Learn the sense of energy in the Body!
The energies travel the meridians by a specific order (as they are classified above: lung, large intestine, stomach, ...).
There is also a definite sense in relation to the divisions of the body: head, trunk, and limbs. In acupuncture the flow of energy follows the following directions:
  From the torso to the hands,
  From head to toe,
  From head to toe,
  From the feet to the trunk (and again to the hands).
Thus, by uniting these two principles (the sequence of the meridians and the order in the divisions of the body), we can deduce the following general arrangement of the meridians:
