1 - The face

The appearance of a certain color at the level of the face may be the indication of an affection of the organs and viscera; And the modification of the coloring, of the evolution of the disease.

The two examples below serve as illustrations;

A - The cheekbones correspond to the Lungs. At the moment these are affected, the complexion instead of being white (physiological color of the Lung) becomes pale green. Often, around noon (the hourly movement corresponding to the Heart), it changes color and looks pale, becomes fresh red.

This color change explains the influence of cosmic energy at certain times of the day on vital energy in certain lung diseases, leading to a weakening of the Root-Inn (Water) and a release of energy at the level of Root-Yang (Fire) .

The Fire then becomes powerful, it gains the Lungs and is reflected in the apples to constitute what we call "Water-weakening Phenomenon with Fire power that mistreats Metal."

B - The tip of the nose corresponds to the Spleen. In the affections of the Spleen, if the tip of the nose has a green spot (Liver color), there will be an appearance of the phenomena called "Destruction of the Wood-Liver in front of the Spleen".

These two examples illustrate the point at which clinical manifestations are considered pathological. As to the significance of the different modifications of coloration, it was studied in the paragraph of the skin (see previous paragraph).

         
Appearance of colors and their location:

- slight staining: acute disease

- dark coloration: chronic disease

- diffuse staining: disease progression

- concentrated staining: disease improvement

- bright and clear coloring: benign disease

- dark coloration: severe disease

- dried (dehydrated) staining: fatal prognosis

2. The eyes

By observing the ocular device, we can identify certain diseases:

- red eyes, sign of heat.

Yellow sclera, evocative sign of jaundice.

- blurred eyes, signs of Kidney-Water depletion due to Heat illness.

- Empty eyes, sign of cold disease.

- weak and cloudy eyes (cause of the mixture of pure and impure), sign of a condition induced by Humidity.

- dry eyes, signs of a condition due to Dryness.

- eyes with irregular movements, sign of accumulation of "Muco-Fire" inside the body.

- straining eyes, concentration signal of the Liver Fire inside.

- injected sclera of small capillary blood vessels, Sign of Inn Void and fullness of Fire.

The healing signal may also be discovered by a yellow coloration at the inner commissure of the eye associated with a gleaming coloration at the tip and base of the nose at the point level (8pc) located between the two eyes.

On his side, Ling Shu (chapter 74) states:

"A red conjunctiva is a sign of a Heart affliction, white is the sign of the Lung, green is Liver, yellow, Spleen, black, Kidney, neither red nor yellow, but orange , Is that of the Thorax.
The capillaries in the downward direction are the clue to the problems of Tae Yang (B); The ascending ones are the sign of Yang Ming's problems (E); The external-internal direction are the problem clue of Chao Yang (VB). "

Based on this proposition, we can conclude that the examination of the eyes constitutes a useful diagnostic contribution:

. At the conjunctival level:
- red complexion: an evocative sign of a Heart disease.

- white complexion: an evocative sign of a disease of the Lungs.

- green complexion: an evocative sign of liver disease.

- yellow complexion: an evocative sign of a disease of the Spleen.

- black complexion; An evocative sign of a kidney disease.


. At the level of the different structures of the eye:

- red corner: Heart Fire sign.

- red conjunctiva: Fire sign of the Lungs.

- red pupil: Liver Fire sign.

- Red eyelids: sign of Spleen Fire.

- all red eye: Sign of liver meridians involvement by Wind-Heat.
